Last Wednesday we partnered with @mediclinicme and @abudhabilibraries for a parenting workshop at Zayed Central Library called “Mental Health and Behavioural Challenges for School Children”. While parents attended the training with Dr. Abdelazim Mabrouk Ali, consultant paediatrician, we had the pleasure of spending time with the children. We set up blocks, puzzles, a drawing station, magna-tiles, and we read, exercised, danced and sang! 🎶🥁🎉 We are thankful for this opportunity to plant Little Seeds of joy and love in the children of Al Ain. ❤️

Yesterday we had the joy of partnering with @aaalainacademy for a community event dedicated to early years. Our flag programs, Zumbini for Schools and Active Kids, made the children enjoy an afternoon filled with joy, dance, music, singing, illusions, obstacle courses, animal walks and lots of fun! The wonderful staff of AABA made everyone feel welcomed and loved. They organized different sensory activities and a story time with the Principal. We loved the experience and we are looking forward to continue “building community and growing together”! ❤️🙏🏻

For Children:
- Establish a consistent routine that includes healthy habits such as regular exercise, balanced meals, and sufficient sleep.

- Foster a positive and supportive environment in which children feel safe to express themselves and share their thoughts and feelings.

- Encourage children to engage in activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development such as sports, arts, and educational programs. (We’ve got you covered on this one)😉

- Create a healthy balance between screen time and outdoor activities that promote physical activity and socialization. (Babies don’t need screens, they need humans. Try to avoid them at least until they are able to speak!)

For Parents:
- Prioritize self-care and mental health by setting aside time for relaxation, exercise, and socialization.

- Foster strong relationships with your partner, friends, and family members to establish a supportive network.

- Seek professional help when needed, such as therapy or counseling, to address any mental health or relationship issues that may arise.

- Establish boundaries and communicate openly with your children to avoid burnout and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

By implementing these strategies, we can create a comprehensive approach that prioritizes the well-being of both our children and parents.
